Unique location
Location Location Location
Lord Harold Samuel, a real estate tycoon in Britain, coined the expression: “There are three things that matter in property: location, location, location”.
I see what he means, but people are using this literally concerning all aspects of life involving properties. Location can be crucial for an Outcome but very different for an Experience.
Wimbledon Common is on ley lines, has a natural spring and has created many sports we see on TV today.
Wimbledon Common was made famous by the Wombles, who were the first global eco-characters. I wanted VC to follow suit. When you walk in, you will find it, minimalist, clean and spacious with loads of plants and artefacts our family has collected on its travels.
The area boasts two global sporting venues (Wimbledon Tennis, Twickenham Rugby), two Royal Parks (Richmond Park, Bushy Park), numerous museums, many scenic points along the River Thames, two theatres (Wimbledon, Richmond), four Premier League football clubs (Chelsea, Fulham, Wimbledon, Brentford), the incredible Kew Gardens, and one of the most popular shopping centres in Kingston-upon Thames. The Oval (it is not local, but being Sri-Lankan I must mention the cricket) is just a 10-minute train ride away.
Travelling by car
This is super easy. Free off-street parking and you are on the A3 within 10 seconds, with the M25 down this road.
Public transport
This is a unique spot with many facets. We are at the back of Wimbledon Common. We are across the road from Richmond Park. The postcode implies we are in Putney. Council tax is unfortunately the most expensive in the land via Kingston Council. And to balance things out, Google Maps says we are in “Vale Crescent, Wimbledon Common”.
Being in this unique triangle means there are so many travel options to get around London. A summary is in the table below:
Off-street parking and the easiest access to the motorway. Local shops across the road include dry cleaners, newsagents and some great Middle Eastern supermarkets. You can walk to Asda in about 10 minutes, which is just north on the A3 through Wimbledon Common.
There is also a folder detailing some privately owned cafes and restaurants.

There is a 24-hour key safe. Not sure about you, but I want to just get in, unpack and wind down. Bring fruit for smoothies, have a Lavazza coffee or choose from a selection of teas. Please do not worry about getting your chargers out. We have set up a charging port in the master bedroom in the wardrobe with the WIFI code ‒ just plug your phones in.
We really want you to relax before confronting London’s busy energy. Travelling is always tiring. All we ask is you aim to feel at home and take your shoes off at the front door and put the resources back where they live. Our focus is on the latter. This is why we do not outsource. Everything is checked by me before you arrive. I have even learnt how to make hospital corners when I make your bed!
